With great pleasure and pride we announce the award of the “Public Favorite” prize to the Monasty, The Autograph Collection by Marriott project, submitted to the “Aluminium & Architecture” awards by Tilcon as the manufacturer of the project’s frames. The award was presented at the 16th Alumini Conference, held this year, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the organization, at Costa Navarino, in Pylos, Messinia.
The “Public Favorite” category is for architectural projects that impressed the attending delegates, who named Monasty as their favorite project for its aesthetics and innovation. Monasty, The Autograph Collection, is a hotel that draws its inspiration from the Byzantine heritage of Thessaloniki. With its 100 rooms embodying the unique historical atmosphere of the building, it is located next to the monastery of Agia Theodora, and showcases the city’s history in a contemporary way.
Tilcon, by taking on the role of manufacturing the frames, contributed decisively to the creation of this special space. The company invested in top-quality, high-strength materials, such as aluminium, which offers excellent thermal and sound insulation, ensuring comfort and privacy for visitors. These constructions meet the highest standards and enhance the energy efficiency of the building, while being in line with the principles of sustainable development and environmental awareness.
With this award, Monasty The Autograph Collection project is recognised not only for its architectural merit but also for the excellent collaboration between Tilcon and the other project members, proving that innovative structures can deliver experiences that honour history and enhance the aesthetics of the city.
